During the 2018 winter break for the Beavercreek school district, Bellbrook Fence Company was busy installing the first batch of classroom locks bought with money raised by a local parents group.
This small group of parents created the nonprofit group Creek Safe Inc. and initially raised $52,000 to protect students in the Beavercreek school district. The money raised went to purchase safety locks, which can be quickly engaged to prevent unwanted intruders from entering the classroom. In all, 320 locks were purchased and installed, enough to cover every door in the district’s six elementary school buildings. Bellbrook Fence Company not only donated financially but donated all the labor to install the locks in the schools.
